LIKE NOTHING BEFORE.
Clinical laser technology has been in use for the last 50 years. During this time, thousands of clinical studies have been undertaken and the research into light therapy has significantly evolved. So too has its power, performance and potential.
Until now, laser light therapy has only been available in clinics due to its size and the need for professional supervision. The void left for the home cosmetic market has been filled with low performing LED devices, which operate on similar principles to laser but use fundamentally inferior technologies. Whilst LED may have some effect on skin renewal, this technology does not come close to the results of a laser-based device.

BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGY.
The rechargeable LYMA Laser incorporates breakthrough laser energy dispersion, 100 times more powerful than LED. Its internal ultra-diffusers have been exclusively developed to ensure safety, dispersing the coherent laser energy over a wide area, 25,000 times larger than traditional lasers.
It’s small enough to fit in your pocket, and so safe, that it can be used to treat skin around the eye area without the need for goggles. This is a world first.
THE POWER OF SCIENCE.
At the core the of the LYMA Laser is a deeply bio-stimulating infra-red (near invisible) medical- grade, continuous output laser, operating at 500mW of power at the 808nm wavelength. This precise specification ensures the laser not only is able to reach the deepest layers of the skin, but also the fat and muscle tissue underneath, with sufficient power to stimulate skin regeneration.
The blue glow generated by the LYMA Laser is from the four 10mW (total 40mw) LED’s operating at a wavelength of 470nm, providing optimal anti-bacterial performance to the skin’s surface.
THE DIFFERENCE IS EVERYTHING.
Photobiomodulation is the process of inducing the regeneration of tissue by
the application of light energy. However, not just any light will do. There are
a number of specific features of laser light energy which, when optimised,
exhibit the potential to induce outstanding regenerative results.
The LYMA Laser employs multiple technologies to ensure optimal control throughout the entire treatment process.
- Monochromatic, single colour light.
- Coherent light allows for controlled, deep penetration.
- Polarised light vibration is the gold standard.
- Near infra-red high power 500mW laser, operating at 808nm.
- Constant laser power throughout all layers of the skin, fat and muscle tissue beneath.
- Optically diffused and safe to use around the eyes with no need for goggles.
- The wavelength, energy density, polarity, and speckle phenomenon are all relevant variables carefully optimized to maximize photobiomodulation by the LYMA Laser
ALL LIGHT IS NOT THE SAME.
Light is a complex form of energy. There are a number of different properties
of light energy that have been shown to influence the way in which light
interacts with living cells. These include the wavelength of light (light within
the visible spectrum has a wavelength of about 380 to 760 nanometers), the
energy carried by the light wave (light intensity) and the polarity of light
(the plane in which the light wave propagates). In addition to being polarized,
laser light, when interacting with living tissue, exhibits a phenomenon called
speckle, which amplifies the intensity of the stimulus making it effective at
inducing the regenerative processes through the entire depth of its penetration.
This is not the case with LED-based light sources which loses effectiveness as
it penetrates tissue.
Each speckle creates constructive interference, islands of light, a few
tenths of a millimetre in size and usually bigger than the cells they surround,
providing a microscopic heat effect.
PHOTOBIOMODULATION.
Most home cosmetic devices are too weak to deliver meaningful benefits to the cells at the base layers of the skin, with power densities of around 10mW/cm2 and no peer-reviewed evidence to support their efficacy.
For effective bio-stimulation to occur all the researched evidence demonstrates that a power density of 100mW/cm2 to 200mW/cm2 is required to effectively simulate deeper tissue. The LYMA Laser operates at an optimal 160mW/cm2 with an energy density of 9.55 J/cm2 representing a true breakthrough in effective skin renewal.
