What is Ashwagandha?

Ashwagandha (withania somnifera) is an Ayurvedic adaptogen that has been used as an anxiolytic for many centuries to help relieve anxiety and stress. Peer- reviewed studies have demonstrated its role as a nootropic, immunostimulant, anti-inflammatory and cortisol regulator, subject to correct dosage.

The issue with generic Ashwagandha.

The ashwagandha market is rife with products containing the plants’ leaf compounds, which have high levels of toxicity. LYMA uses KSM-66® Ashwagandha which comes solely from the root extract. A number of ashwagandha supplements have also been exposed as not containing the levels of validated compounds as suggested on the label which jeopardises efficacy.
